Colour-coded marking
Viega Megapress and Megapress S are not suitable for drinking and fresh water applications. Each individual press connector is clearly identified by a marking (in this case: on the rear). For improved system identification, Megapress is marked with black dots and Megapress S with white dots on each press connection of the connectors.

Use (Megapress S)
With dimensions of up to 2 inches, the Megapress S system provides an ideal way of connecting to local and district heat supply systems (in accordance with AGFW FW 524). Suitable for higher thermal loads of up to 140 °C, Megapress S XL is particularly suitable for use in industrial environments.
Megapress and Megapress S: quick, clean, safe and completely weld-free
Whether seamless or with seam heat sealing, industrially painted or epoxy-resin-coated, black or galvanised – thick-walled steel pipes are versatile, durable and robust. However, in the past, welding was often required to connect the pipes. With its press connectors from the Megapress systems, Viega is able to offer a safer, lighter and more economical alternative to welding. This means that even thick-walled steel pipes can be connected without any problems.

Three reasons for using Megapress for heating installations
- Assembly time reduced by 60 % compared to welding, no fire hazard due to cold press connection technology
- Presses thick-walled steel pipes, regardless of whether the pipe is seamless, welded, black, galvanised or epoxy-resin-coated
- Comprehensive product range with many special components
-
Three reasons for using Megapress S for installations
- Presses thick-walled steel pipes ranging from ⅜ of an inch to 4 inches and cuts assembly time by up to 80 % compared to welding, depending on the dimensions
- Suitable for higher thermal loads of up to 140 °C
- Zinc-nickel external coating as effective protection against corrosion
