Purpose and legal basis of data processing:

Cameras on the company premises are used to prevent unauthorised access to the monitored premises and buildings, damage to property and theft. In addition, the cameras can be used to record load securing in areas where goods are entering and leaving the premises. Basically, all recordings may be used to support criminal prosecution and are intended to increase the safety of employees.

Legal bases for all surveillance and recordings are:

In Germany: Viega labour-management agreement for closed circuit television
In Austria: § 12 (2) 4. together with § 12 (3) 1. or 3. DSG2000

Surveillance of unauthorized access to property and buildings and clarification of theft and damage to property

Recordings for training and maintenance support (recording possible with storage until fulfillment of the purpose)

Purposes as depicted on the signs

The storage period for recording cameras is defined individually and depends on the purpose of the recording. The Viega company agreement on video surveillance serves as a framework. If no other symbol is printed after the purpose of use, there will be no storage. Otherwise, the following storage durations apply:

Recipients or categories of recipients of the data

The third-party security company is given access to the broadcasts from the surveillance cameras. The disclosure to law enforcement authorities takes place for the purpose of investigating criminal offences at the instigation of Viega or at the request of the law enforcement authority. The recordings transferred are shortened to the relevant excerpts before transmission.
